Took my brand new less than 250 mile 2014 jeep in for an alignment after lift. They suggested ripping out the ball joints on my brand new jeep and replacing them. I refused. Later took my jeep to Desert Rat off road center to have aligned only to find out it did NOT need the brand new ball joint replaced. They aligned my jeep perfectly to factory specs easily with lift. If you want to be ripped off go to Napa. If you want your lifted truck done properly go to Desert Rat in Tempe they obviously know their stuff a LOT better than the Napa technicians!! 2014 jeep now has 21k miles on 37 inch tires . EVEN WEAR ACROSS ALL TIRES !! Due to taking my jeep to DESERT RAT. They are awesome!! Update response to owners response: yes you did recommend removing a brand new balljoint with less than 200 miles on a brand new Jeep Wrangler. They didn't even both to check other components that desert rat found not aligned properly. Once aligned properly by desert rat mysteriously my new ball joint fell within spec. If you want to be scammed ( usually it's a technical scam that an average person knows nothing about unless they are a mechanic themselves) no ball joint replaced and now my jeep has over 45k miles on 37 inch tires and once again aligned by desert rat.! Tires still have even wear with ORIGINAL ball joints. !!!
We would never recommend "ripping out" new parts unless there is a compelling reason. Please contact us so we can clear up any misunderstanding. We strive to always do the right repair for the customer and their automobiles. David Schultz, Owner (480) 893-6884
