Cool Cars Coming in 2014 - Part 2

2014 Equus Bass770 There are so many new and exciting cars scheduled to drop in 2014 it's hard to know where to start. Why don't we start by overshooting our own defined time frame and have a look at the 2015 Ford Mustang? In this video, Angus MacKenzie and Ed Loh meet up with Raj Nair (Ford's Head of Product), Joe Hinrichs (Ford EVP and President of the America's), and Joel Piaskowski (Ford's Design Director) to chat about the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang. The guys chat about the Mustang's radical new look and advanced underpinnings including an all-new high output Ecoboost turbo 4-cylinder! Next, let's have a look at the car that was originally released to directly compete with the Ford Mustang September 26, 1966. That car, or course, was the Chevrolet Camaro. We can't feature great American sports/performance cars without the popular Chevrolet Corvette Stingray. In this video, Motor Trend's Carlos Lago gets behind the wheel of Chevrolet's hotly anticipated 2014 Corvette Stingray Z51, the most technologically advanced production Corvette ever made. First, Carlos heads to the test track to put the reborn 460hp V8-powered Stingray through the full barrage of Motor Trend's instrumented tests: 0-60 mph acceleration, quarter mile, 60-0 mph braking, lateral acceleration, and figure-eight. The raw data backs up what Carlos can already feel from the driver's seat - the 2014 Corvette goes fast, stops quick and handles corners with ease. Then, it's off to the winding roads of Central California to see how the C7 Vette's continuously variable-locking differential, magnetic damping, rev matching and other high-tech features perform in the real world. And what does Dodge have in store for 2014? How about the new Challenger SXT? With a 300+ horsepower Pentastar V6 engine and AutoStick transmission it's gotta' be a blast to drive! And once again skipping ahead a bit, here's a quickie on the 2015 Dodge Charger SRT8... And to top off this edition, here's a truly unique American super car for 2014, the Equus Bass770. With fastback styling, authentic and sensual body silhouette, here's a flawless jewel, a collector's piece with gutsy pioneer spirit.
