The 2015 Ford F-350 Crew Cab 4x4 Dually has an upgraded V8 turbo-diesel Power Stroke engine. The bigger turbocharger and updated injectors combine to make 440 horsepower and 860 lb-ft of torque at 1,600 rpm. So, how does it do when towing a 1942 M2 Halftrack (combined weight with trailer 21,600 lbs) up a steep incline at over 11,000 feet of elevation? How does it compare to the Ram 3500 with the same trailer? This is exactly what this video is about to answer! The Ike Gauntlet is a timed run up one of America's steepest highways from 9,000 feet above sea level to the top of the mountain at entrance to the Eisenhower Tunnel in Colorado. Care to place any bets? :) Let's see what happens

In honor of our new Medium Duty Truck Service And Repair department, today we feature some industry news from the medium duty truck industry. After quite an absence from the medium-duty truck segment in the US, Chevrolet gave Isuzu a call and asked "Hey, could we badge-engineer your low cabs then sell them as Chevys?" The reply? "Sure thing!" Thus this fact is now an official agreement and announcement. There's an interesting aspect to this story though: the Isuzu N-Series lineup of medium-duty low cab trucks are already on sale in the United States, with GCWR ratings ranging from 18,000 lbs (8,164 kg) to 20,500 lbs (9,298 kg). One might wonder if the Isuzu N-Series and Chevrolet's trucks will cannibalize sales between each other. We certainly hope someone at GM did a feasibility study first. :) General Motors has confirmed the rebadged medium-duty trucks will bear the following designations for the 2016 model year: Chevrolet 3500, 3500 HD, 4500, 4500 HD ... read more

In honor of our new Medium Duty Truck Service And Repair Department, we thought it would be fun to take a look back at some medium duty truck history. Today we feature Chevy - the C40, C50, C60, and C70. These trucks were sold as cab and chassis for many different bodies, but they all had similar cabs and front ends. Many different engines were used, ranging from a small block 366ci V-8, to a 427ci big block V-8. Detroit diesels were an option in C60s and C70s (6-71 in the early years and 8.2 liter in later years). It's sad that so many of these trucks are suffering a slow and painful death by rust and corrosion because they have been left out in someone's field and completely forgotten

If you were like most kids (me included) you had at least some exposure to the toy trucks known as TONKA! Oh, I wanted mine to be real in the worst way. And one of the most popular Tonka trucks was...the dumbstruck, with real tilting dump bed! Ford has intentionally decided to fight dirty by playing on this childhood fantasy of so many kids. Okay, maybe not "dirty", but as strong as this fascination with Tonka is for me and other children, it's at least not fair. :) Meet the Ford F-750 Tonka, or as the automaker calls it, the "ultimate Tonka truck". (Okay Ford, you have my full attention!) Based on the 2016 all-new Ford F-650/F-750 medium duty truck, the dump truck created by Ford and Tonka is a real life replica of the famous toy truck. Unveiled at the NTEA Work Truck show in Indianapolis, the Ford F-750 Tonka truck sports the signature Tonka yellow paint with a custom blackout nostril grille and fully functional dump body from Truck Tech Engineers.
